Komodo

One of the best destinations to spot larger pelagic animals. Thanks to its geographical location, between Indian and Pacific oceans and the tidal flow that these two oceans generate. Pristine coral reefs and magnificent views, home to the endemic lizard, The Komodo Dragon

Komodo Island is part of Flores (East Nusa Dua Tengara) together with Rinca and it is part of the Lesser Sunda chain of islands forming the Komodo National Park which has been listed by UNESCO as World Heritage Site in 1986.

The Island and the Park reserve are the most attractive places for divers around the world offering the most awe-inspiring healthy colourful reefs, counted until now more than 260 species, incredible topography because its pinnacles and walls.

Komodo is considered the main destination for Action dive and the heaven for Macro thanks to the tidal flows generated by Indian and Pacific oceans.

For the passionates of Macro dive, this place is the garden for pygmy seahorses, clown frogfish, blue- ringed octopus, sea squirts, tunicates, nudibranchs, ornate ghost pipefish.

More than 1000 species of tropical fish like Napoleons wrasse and groupers, up to 7 species of sharks including hammerhead and grey reef, schooling, tuna, mantas, eagle rays, pelagic mammals such as dolphins and whales or very rare ones like dugong and Mola Mola.

A lot of action completed with strong currents for experienced, brave and strong divers.

Big animals not only underwater, the Komodo National Park will offer you a unique experience. You maybe already know about many legends and stories about dragons but you never have seen a real one.

Komodo is the place to jump to the prehistory and magic tells.. The biggest and the rarest lizard in the world is waiting for you. The Komodo Dragon, an 125 kg and 2,50m predator.

For the beach lovers, this area has one of the worldwide 7 pink sand beaches in the world!

  • Port and Park fee to pay 120 USD;
  • Komodo National Park entrance fee 20.000 IDR

How to reach

  • The main airport in Komodo is Labuan Bajo where we will pick you up to reach the boat, so please email us with the details.
  • We recommend to fly to Komodo from Jakarta or Denpasar (Bali) by a cheaper domestic flight. The most common airlines are: Garuda Indonesia, Indonesia Air Transport (IAT), Merpati Airlines, TransNusa, Sky Aviation, and Wings Air.
  • We can book the flight for you and arrange an hotel reservation in case you decide to arrive one day earlier.
  • Airport tax fee: domestic flights 75.000 IDR
